Privacy Policy

The short version: the Vihover app is a local player. It never reads, uploads or reports anything about the videos you open — your files never leave your Mac. This policy only covers the website and the purchase flow.

Data controller

The controller of your personal data is Hubert Giorgi, reachable at hello@vihover.app.

What we collect

• Website analytics. We use PostHog to understand how the site is used (pages viewed, device type, approximate location from IP, interactions) so we can improve Vihover. It runs in cookieless mode: nothing is stored on your device — no cookie, no local storage — and we never track you across other websites. That is why this site shows no cookie banner.
• Purchases. Payment is handled by Polar (Merchant of Record) and Stripe. They collect the data needed for the transaction (name, email, billing details). We only receive limited order data (email, license key, country) to deliver your license and provide support.
• Support. If you email us, we keep your message and address to reply.

Legal basis

Legitimate interest (analytics, security), performance of a contract (delivering your purchase), and consent where required.

Your rights

Under the GDPR you may access, rectify, delete or port your data, and object to processing. Contact hello@vihover.app. You may also lodge a complaint with the French authority, the CNIL.

Retention

Order and support data are kept as long as needed for legal and support purposes; analytics data is retained according to PostHog’s configuration.
